Staying Organized

Some call me organized, other OCD. Somehow I manage to keep my house sparkling clean and everybody happy. I only have one child. I think that it would be the same whether I had one or ten. I just would sleep a whole lot less.

Something is bothering me, though.......Those places that no one ever sees. Closets and storage areas. That is my downfall. I spend so much time cleaning the main areas of the house, I just don't have the time to get to those other areas.

I was over at Organizing Junkie and she has a great 8-week plan for organization that I have taylored to my needs. So far, so good. One week down and I am already feeling great about it.

Instead of cleaning every room, everyday. I have decided to clean and thoroughly organize each space as I clean that room. For example, yesterday, I cleaned the office, but I also took everything out of the closet and got rid of a ton of stuff. I also did the same in Madi's room over the weekend. Last night, I did the guest bath and pulled everything out from under the cabinet. You would be surprised at the things that have accumulated in the two and a half years since we built this house.

Today is my bedroom and bathroom. This may be a two day project since I have a large walk-in closet that is in shambles.

I may post before and after pictures when I get a minute.

Menu Planning Monday

I am strapped for time, but I need to post my menu, so here goes. I shopped at WalMart, Albertsons, CVS and Rouses. I spent a total of $100, but that includes my CVS trips and stockpile of ground round and chicken. I am thinking that next weeks shopping will be less than $50. That is the goal anyway.

Breakfasts will consist of Eggs, Toast, Biscuits or Cinnamon Rolls

Lunches are either leftovers, mac & cheese, sandwiches, pizza rolls or whatever else that is quick and easy.

Sunday- Eating Cane's at Youth Group at church

Monday- Chicken tacos w/ Spanish Rice and Refried beans

Tuesday- Spaghetti and Meatballs

Wednesday- Fried Chicken Strips, Mashed Potatoes and Corn

Thursday- Roast w/ rice and gravy and corn

Friday- Leftovers (clean out the fridge day)

Saturday- Shrimp Creole w/ rice and garlic bread

Albies trip 8/14

Here is what I got:

2 family packs of boneless skinless chicken breasts (makes about 7 meals for us).
2 Hunts Spaghetti Sauce
6 boxes Pizza Rolls
1 pack hot dog buns
1 pack hamburger buns
1 box of Fudge Rounds (couldn't resist)
1 family sized can corn
1 block of pepper jack cheese
1 block of cheddar cheese
1 package macaroni noodles

Total before sale prices and coupons: $50.37

Total after sale prices and coupons $29.97

I am stocked up on cheese, spaghetti sauce, pizza rolls and chicken for a few weeks.

I am heading to Rouse's and Walmart later this weekend and will post those deals here. Then I will sort through what I have in my stockpile and menu plan from there.
